Verano WebShop

The Problem

Verano is a sun shading manufacturer from the Netherlands. They are a very succesful company that makes these products and seels them to resellers who then reach the public. What they needed was a way to reach the consumer directly, they needed an e-commerce website. Just like with any other e-commerce website, information was of great importance here. I needed to know as much as I could about the company and their end consumers. So I did interviews with both staekholders and possible users, from which I managed to produce user personas. After this we got into the most important part of the project, the flows. Flows for commerce can get messy, they can get complicated, and it is easy to lose the trust of users. That's why I spent a lot of time on them, and once they were done I did A/B testing with two different prototypes, finally deciding on a single one. Only after all of this was finished did I feel comfortable enough to actually go into designing the product proper.

What was delivered

In the end the client received a modern and functional e-commerce web shop with which they could directly reach their consumers, no need for resellers. As this was an ongoing project, we continued our collaboration and with the use of analytics continuusly improved the checkout flow based on the data received from users.
