Logyx, a cutting edge configuration sooftware

The Problem

A lot of the companies in the sun shading industry had a lot of ready-made models, made as 3D renders, for almost all of their products. But they had no useful way in which to use these models, no way to show them to their consumers. Enter Logyx, a configurator which would let companies and direct consumers configure and order their products through one platform. This took a lot of work. When I joined the project the product did not even have a name, and we had to start somewhere, so we started at the beginning, we created an entire brand identity for the product. Afterwards the research phase could begin. I began compiling data on other configuration softwares, but I also had to do a lot of user interviews as well, because this was not a regular configuration software, the users had to be able to order and manage their orders as well. After this was finished I had to come up with a lot of different flows, for which I made low fidelity prototype which we tested with users, finally opting for the right choice. After this it was a case of building a sitemap and going into the design proper.

What was delivered

After I finished the design for the first version of the product we went live and had regular users. Tracking and analytics tools were used to see if there were areas for improvement, and some were found. Based on the data received a v2 version of the product was immediately in the works, improving on all the problems that the first version had.
