After Blueprint, an ERP system for the sun shading industry, was launched a lot of users started using it very quickly. Most users were happy, but we kept on receiving questions about if a mobile version would soon be available, and that's when I got to work. It was the first time in my career that I had to perform such a data heavy mobile task, most of these platforms are desktop only, the sheer amount of information could be daunting and hard to put even on a big screen. But I approached the problem calmly, starting with my own research into data heavy mobile apps. I downloaded all that I could find and started clicking around, and taking screenshots and notes. With that research done I started comparing my notes to what I neede for Blueprint. Some of the things I found were a perfect fit, and some screens needed more work, but in the end I managed to fit everything into a mobile screen.
